About Solar Fest

This year we have decided to try something new! We are going to combine Solar Fest with Solar Tour and have a weekend of fun. This year Solar Fest will be held on Saturday, October 6, and Solar Tour will be held on Sunday October 7th.
Please join us for Solar Fest on Saturday, October 6th, 2012 from 9am to 4pm. We invite the community out to enjoy solar demonstrations, great food, and fun under the sun at Lion’s Field Park (2809 Broadway Street San Antonio, TX 78209). An important annual event for the South Texas, Solar Fest provides valuable information to the public about renewable energy technologies, the impact of sustainable living, and green building techniques.
At Solar Fest 2011, all of the electricity was derived from solar and Redi-fuel’s soy-based biodiesels (thanks to power generators from J-Squared Services!). From the solar-powered stage, exhibitor booths, 5K start/finish line, and Radio Disney stage, Solar San Antonio ensured that Solar Fest was all renewably powered. Entertainment and energy efficiency!
