Run on the Sun 5k
For those of you who enjoy running for causes...sign up for the Run on the Sun 5k at Solar Fest 2010! Part of San Antonio's 100% renewably-powered event!

The 5K race at Solar Fest 2010 will allow the community to "run for the sun". Runners will start at Maverick Park in downtown San Antonio and head toward the Pearl Brewery, home to the largest solar installation in Texas.
Not only does the 5K race promote active living in San Antonio, the event highlights the potential that San Antonio has to be a model for how to implement solar technologies and transition to a green economy. We already have the largest installation in Texas, now we can further this endeavor by striving to have the most solar installations in Texas!
Solar San Antonio confidently believes that San Antonio can be a leader in this movement. By participating in the 5K race at Solar Fest, we want the community to share in this pride. Most importantly, we want San Antonio to be a place where people can live healthy and environmentally friendly lives
